The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh is embarking upon a radical transformation to secure its continued status as a world-leading centre for plant sciences, horticulture and conservation.

Arguably the most ambitious undertaking of the Garden's 350-year history, the Edinburgh Biomes initiative will secure the future of a unique living plant collection and create unrivalled public outreach opportunities by refurbishing its A-Listed public display houses; investing in its research and educational facilities and creating a new visitor experience.

Regius Keeper of the Garden Simon Milne explains, 'As guardians of one of the world's most significant scientific and horticultural resources, we will redevelop our facilities to sustain RBGE as a leader in plant science, horticulture, biodiversity, education and conservation, and ensure our collection thrives for generations to come.'
