Happy 80th DadThere was a young man from Mossley Hill,<br/>Who saw an apprenticeship there was to fill.<br/>He traveled up north to Edinburgh on the train,<br/>A knowledge of horticulture he was keen to gain.While in this new city he went for a dance,<br/>Saw a beautiful young lady and found romance.<br/>They fell in love and married at Charlotte Chapel,<br/>Shortly after that they moved to Newcastle.His first job was at Durham County Hall,<br/>Where he planted trees that would grow far too tall.<br/>He set up his Landscape business that would be worldwide,<br/>Received an OBE, pictured here you can see the pride.Past President of the Landscape Institute, author of books,<br/>When I say who my Dad is I get amazed looks.<br/>But to me he is simply my old Dad,<br/>And a better Dad I could never have had…All my love, Kate xxx
