Walk - Discover the Wonderful World of Mosses at Benmore Botanic Garden

Thursday 25th April 2pm

The wonderful collection of trees and shrubs at Benmore Botanic Garden provide a backdrop for another group of plants that are much less imposing but no less beautiful and important.  Carpeting much of the ground, the rocks and the trees are an abundance of mosses and liverworts, over 200 different native species thrive in Benmore’s oceanic climate.  Led by local enthusiast Gordon Rothero and Research Associate David Long, this gentle stroll will introduce you to some of the species that are part of Scotland’s internationally important moss and liverwort flora.

All welcome.
