Edinburgh Science Festival

• Explore how science is shaping the future with Edinburgh Science Festival this Spring.

  From the 5 – 20 April discover new and innovative ways to engage with nature and the world of plants through our series of events, workshops and exhibition taking place across the Garden.

  Through our free activity programme families can explore what life would be like to live on a new planet at Planet Botanics and Botanical Frontiers or join our scientists at Brick Botanics to construct the city of the future with LEGO®.  Younger visitors can also get active on our ‘Easter Trail’ and follow the clues round the garden before collecting a yummy Easter treat as a reward!

  Take a journey through time, over land and sea, and discover how the Botanics Herbarium might shape our future in the new exhibition Pressed for time. Explore intriguing stories behind diverse specimens and uncover the vital role this collection plays in tackling today’s urgent challenge of protecting and restoring biodiversity.
