Gateway Café renovation
Exciting changes are coming over the next few months and we thank you for your patience as we renovate the Gateway Café to serve you better. While our kitchen is being renovated, we're using eco-friendly, compostable crockery and cutlery to offer a smaller menu in our Gateway pop-up cafe. Don't worry, all your favorite hot dishes are still available at our Terrace Café to enjoy.

The bright and airy Gateway Café offers an idyllic spot in which to enjoy sumptuous seasonal dishes, prepared on-site with ingredients handpicked from our Kitchen Garden and freshly prepared, daily, by our culinary team.

The Terrace
In the heart of the Garden, overlooking Inverleith House Lawn and the Edinburgh skyline, the Terrace is a perfect place to relax and unwind.
Handmade pastries, soup and sandwiches, savoury bites and tempting desserts are served fresh from our ovens throughout the day.
Book a Cream Tea at The Terrace for a unique experience featuring botanicals, herbs and edible flowers carefully harvested from our Kitchen Garden.

The East Gate Coffee Bar
You can find the East Gate Coffee Shop at the entrance to the Botanics on Inverleith Row. Serving a selection of speciality coffees, teas and Scottish soft drinks as well as delicious selection of home baking, you can choose to enjoy this on the picnic benches or as you explore the Garden.
Look out for our new seasonal food pop-up, serving a selection of tacos, nachos and quick bites, created using ingredients from the Kitchen Garden.
