My passion is art and nature. My education is based on plastic arts and design and higher studies of illustration.
With the studies of the Diploma in botanical illustration, I have found a quality training where my concerns have found their union and I will continue to apply everything I have learned here to continue evolving on this wonderful path.
Title of the Project:
Conifers in Montserrat and nearby
About the Project:
Since I was young, I've always felt a great admiration for trees and I was very interested in dedicating a project to creating a series of illustrations about pine trees. I am fortunate to live near the Montserrat mountain, an area where you can find various types of vegetation, whether in sunny or shady spots. It is for this reason that I have been very interested in focusing on the pine trees that I can find so close by.
This project has required me to search for a lot of information because some pine trees are not so easy to identify as they hybridize. I have researched a lot and above all I have taken a lot of photos of the species, of which I attach a small sample of each specific species. Regarding the Pinus nigra subsp. salzmanii, I have chosen this species instead of Pinus nigra itself because in the Montserrat area there is a small enclave of black pine that survived the fires of 1986.
This project has allowed me to learn to identify the different types of pine trees and delve deeply into their characteristics.
