Title of the Project:
Ericaceae of Coastal Maine
About the Project:
My final project of five plants in the Ericaeae family was a delight to accomplish. I literally have all of these plants right outside my front door and in the woods on my wee island off the coast of Maine. All of the species illustrated have bell-shaped flowers that the native pollinators adore. The best bit is that most of these plants produce edible berries that are a significant staple in New England.
