As my parents had a rose nursery, I was given the chance to grow up with fascination for plants. Holidays were spent helping in the fields, with some time set aside just for observation and wondering. As I liked to draw and paint, art education was the natural choice.
I’m now teaching in the Art Academy. Botanical illustration teaches me to look better to plants and discover their beauty. I am also very interested in their ecology and concerned by the loss of biodiversity.
Title of the Project:
Hedgerows and Field margins
About the Project:
Due to intensive farming where I live, hedgerows are the only semi-natural habitat left both providing habitat for wildlife and delivering essential ecosystem services. I found the plants for my project in ‘old’ hedges surviving in the neighborhood.
