Records are an asset and an essential source of organisational and historical information. As such they are vital to the current and future operations of the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh.

Our Records Management Policy provides the framework through which the effective management of records can be achieved and audited.

In 2019 we submitted a Progress Update Review and accompanying evidence for assessment and comment by the Public Records (Scotland) Act 2011 Assessment Team at the National Records of Scotland. The Assessment Team has now published the Final Report on the Review and consider that RBGE continue to take their statutory obligations seriously and are working hard to bring all elements of their Records Management Plan into full compliance.
